I am an engineer by training having graduated from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute, Indiana with a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering and Case Western University in Cleveland, Ohio with a Masters in Mechanical Engineering. When I graduated from Rose-Hulman I went to work at Ford Motor Company in Michigan as a Design Engineer working on the manual front wheel drive transmission. After two years at Ford I went to Nordson Corporation in Ohio as a design engineer staying there for 34.5 years rising to a position of division Vice President my last 16 years.  I am the inventor or co-inventor on 11 different patents.

I have many hobbies that span from machining (I have two knee mills and a gun lathe), cars (we have Corvettes and street rods), guns, 1/24 scale slot cars by Carrera, photography (I used to have my own darkroom and sold my photos at the local drag strip, I have Canon gear) and of course model ships. I got started in figures because I was looking for figures and could never find what I wanted or if I did, more than 35% of the order arrived with broken figures (arms, legs, swords to name a few). I realized there was a hole in the marketplace for excellent custom figures in particular that didnt arrive broken and with encouragement from other model builders I started making custom figures.

I live in Kennebunkport, Maine with my wife, Sharon and our special little guy in a fur suit, Rocky a 7 year old golden retriever.
